Charles K. Witham, Bike Advocacy - T-Shirts!

Great Bike T-Shirts Available

“Reinvent the Wheel… Ride a bike!”

You can now show your true colors while riding, or just hanging out…

These bright yellow T-shirts were the inspiration of Zanne Wiskerson and Nancy Kirkeby as a way to honor our dear friend, Chuck Witham.

Originally designed for ArroyoFest (held on Sunday, June 15th, 2003), which was a project many years in the making, and close to Chuck’s heart, the T-shirts have been a big hit with bicyclists and even bipeds.

Over 30 of Chuck’s friends participated in the 7am bike ride, and as a way of memorializing him, wore these T-shirts on the day of the ‘Fest, an amazing event closing L.A.’s oldest freeway to autos for the first time ever.

To receive your own shirt, the suggested donation is $10.00 each. Feel free to donate more as circumstances allow. Contact Nancy for details on payments over the Internet and shipping.

The entire T-shirt project was underwritten by Zanne and Nancy, so that all money raised will go to directly to the Memorial Volunteer Fund set up in Chuck’s name under the auspices of the LACBC (Los Angeles County Bike Coalition).

The T-shirts were designed by Lauren Embrescia from ideas contributed by Zanne Wiskerson, Matthew Rolufs and Nancy Kirkeby. They will be available indefinitely through Zanne and Nancy.
