April 7, 14, 21, 28 Thursday Evening Happy Hour Weather permitting, every week is a bring your own food and beverages event starting at 5 pm or so. A great time to relax, meet with friends, catch up on the latest Holiday Point news (and gossip) and discuss plans for the weekend's activities. April 16th Turn Water System On One of the annual rituals that dates back to the earliest days of Holiday Point is the start up of the community water system that provides summer water for community members as well as to the beach. Each year a team of volunteers spreads out across the community to close valves that were opened at the end of the year before to permit the system to drain and prevent it from freezing up. If you have the time to help our for a couple of hours, please join the others at the beach at 10:00 am. It's a geat chance to get a close up and personal tour of the community and do your part to help us prepare for the summer season. April 24th Annual Easter Egg Hunt Easter Sunday is late in April, so the weather should be beautiful! Bring your children and your friends to join in on our Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Holiday Point Beach. As we do every year, there will be two "categories" children 5 and under, and over 6 and over ... with at least 10 dozen plastic eggs filled with goodies hidden around the Holiday Point beach area. Parents bring a pot luck brunch item and something to drink (mimosas, screw drivers and bloody marys are all popular!) and enjoy a few hours of fun before you head off for your family Easter celebration. The hunt starts at 12:30 pm. April 30th Beach Clean Up (Rain Date: 5/1) Holiday Point beach doesn't miraculously become the beautiful spot it is every summer. It is through the dedicated efforts of our members who volunteer to donate their time and energy to making it so. One of the major activities every year is the Annual Spring Beach Clean-up. Bring a rake and some gloves ... a tarp if you have one, and join your neighbors in the effort to get our beach ready for the coming summer season. Lunch will be provided. |
